Sumatran Elephant

from 30.00

A Sumatran elephant emerging from the Buluh river after a bath at a sanctuary in the Northern region of Sumatra.

In the wake of the destructive palm oil industry, the loss of their natural habitat continues, making poaching easier due to more and more access roads throughout the country. Some are even poisoned to death, as well as other wildlife, just for "trespassing" on plantation property. Sumatran elephants, as well as the Sumatran orangutan, pangolin, rhino, and tiger are critically endangered and face the threat of extinction.

Printed on 12x18 Lustre finish silver-halide paper. The Lustre finish offers a beautiful sheen, allowing the colors and contrast to pop without the distracting glare of glossy finish prints.
